Windshield Wiper Blades, Adjusting Park Position

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331

-- Deactivate APP function if not already done by this time. Refer to WIPER MOTOR ALTERNATING PARK POSITION FUNCTION, DEACTIVATING .

-- Let wiper run into rest position and then switch off ignition.

-- Now set the park positions of the windshield wiper blades.

Driver Side

Distance -A- between tips of wiper lips and upper edge of plenum chamber cover must be 10 mm.

-- If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to WIPER ARMS .

-- Tighten the threaded connection to the specification shown in TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

Passenger Side

Distance -B- between tips of wiper lips and upper edge of plenum chamber cover must be 10 mm (0.4 inch).

-- If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to WIPER ARMS .

-- Tighten the threaded connection to the specification shown in TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
