Clutch Hydraulic Hose/Line
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Hose Clamps up to 25 mm Dia. 3094
Removing
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to one of the following:
Gas engines, refer to Removal and Installation , [For engine(s) BPY] Removal and Installation , or[For engine(s) CCTA, CBFA] Removal and Installation .
-- Remove the battery and the battery tray. Refer to Removal and Installation .
While performing the following work, make sure no brake fluid comes into contact with the longitudinal member or the transmission. If it does, clean the area thoroughly.
-- Clamp off the supply hose to the master cylinder using the hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. 3094.
Remove the line -1- from the master cylinder as follows:
-- Pull the circlip -3- out using a screwdriver and remove the line -1- and O-ring -2-.
Do not press the clutch pedal after removing the line.
Remove the line -4- from the breather assembly -1- as follows:
-- Pull the circlip -2- up using a screwdriver or a pointed tool and remove the line -4- with O-ring -3- from the breather assembly -1-.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:
-- Push the line -1- with the O-ring -2- into the master cylinder -4- until the circlip -3- audibly locks into place.
-- Pull on the line to make sure it is secure.
-- Push the line -4- with the O-ring -3- into the breather assembly -1- until the circlip -2- audibly locks into place.
-- Pull on the line to make sure it is secure.
-- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
-- Install the battery tray and the battery. Refer to Removal and Installation .
-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to one of the following:
Gas engines, refer to Removal and Installation , [For engine(s) BPY] Removal and Installation , or[For engine(s) CCTA, CBFA] Removal and Installation .
