1. Brake Fluid Reservoir
2. Spring Clamp
   • Not on all vehicles
3. Supply Hose
   • Made of plastic, refer to Fig 3.
4. Master Cylinder
   • Removing and installing, refer to MASTER CYLINDER .
5. Circlip
   • To remove and install the hose/line assembly or pipe, pull the clip all the way out.
   • On some master cylinders, it is pulled out to the side.
6. Seal/O-ring
   • Installed on the line connection.
   • Install using brake fluid.
   • Seal/O-ring design suitable for the line connection, refer to Fig 2.
7. Mount
   • To remove and install, remove the master cylinder from the clutch pedal. Refer to one of the following:

     GTI from 2006 through 2009, refer to CLUTCH PEDAL .

     Golf/GTI from 2010, refer to .

8. Clutch Pedal
   • Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

     GTI from 2006 through 2009, refer to CLUTCH PEDAL .

     Golf/GTI from 2010, refer to .

9. Nut,
   • See Figure.
10. Hose/Line Assembly
    • To remove and install, remove the battery and battery tray. Refer to Removal and Installation .
11. Clip
    • For the hose/line assembly -10 -.
    • Attached to the body.
    • Covered by the assembly mounting
    • Clip differentiation, refer to Fig 4.
12. Pipe Assembly
    • To remove and install, remove the battery and battery tray. Refer to Removal and Installation .
13. Clip
    • For the pipe assembly -12-.
    • Attached to the body.
    • Covered by the assembly mounting
    • Clip differentiation, refer to Fig 4.
14. Seal/O-ring
    • Installed on the line connection.
    • Install using brake fluid.
    • Seal/O-ring design for the line connection. Refer to Fig 2.
15. Breather Assembly
16. Circlip
    • To remove and install the hose/line assembly or pipe assembly and the breather assembly, pull the clip out to the stop.
17. Breather Valve
    • Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
18. Dust Cap
19. Clutch Slave Cylinder
    • The gasket can only be replaced when the transmission is removed.
    • Removing and installing, refer to SLAVE CYLINDER WITH RELEASE BEARING .
20. Transmission

Seal/O-ring Version for the Hose/Line Assembly or Line

• The seal/O-ring must be installed in the groove -arrows 1 and 3-.

Plastic Supply Hose
