Removal And Installation: Flywheel

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing 

NOTE:

To prevent damage to the dual-mass flywheel when removing it, the bolts -B- must not be removed using an air-powered or impact wrench. Only removing the bolts -B- by hand is permitted.

-- Rotate the dual-mass flywheel -A- so that the bolts -B- are centered with the holes -arrows-.

-- When removing the bolts -B-, make sure that the bolt head is not jammed on the flywheel.

-- Install the flywheel retainer 3067 in the hole on the cylinder block.

-- Mark the flywheel to the engine.

-- Remove the flywheel.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Replace the flywheel bolts.

Tightening Specification 

Component   Nm
Dual-mass flywheel to crankshaft 60 + 90° (1)
(1) 90° corresponds to a 1/4 turn
