Fuel Level Sensor

NOTE:

Phased-in introduction of fuel delivery units with a changed fuel level sensor.

Removing, Old Version 

-- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .

-- Release the connectors -arrows- and remove the wires -1, 2 and 3-.

-- Lift the retaining tabs -4 and 5- with a screwdriver and pull the fuel level sensor downward and off -arrow-.

Installing, Old Version 

-- Install the fuel level sensor into the guides of the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

-- Connect the connector and check for secure locking.

-- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .

Removing, New Version 

-- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .

-- Pull the fuel level sensor slightly to the side and simultaneously upward.

-- Disengage the electrical connectors -1 through 3- and disconnect them.

Installing 

-- Connect the connectors -1 through 3- and make sure they are locked.

-- Insert the fuel level sensor into the guide on the fuel delivery unit and press down until engagement.

-- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .
