Fan Shroud And Fans

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Torque wrench (5-50 Nm) VAG 1331

Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Unclip the coolant hose from the fan shroud.

-- Remove the air duct from air filter. Refer to AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

-- Disconnect the electrical connectors -1- and remove the fan shroud bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the fan shroud with fans.

-- Disconnect the electrical connector -1- and lay the wires free.

-- Remove the fan nuts -arrows- and remove the fans.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:
