Rear final drive, installing: Notes

Installation is the reverse of removal, note the following:
- Always use new bolts to secure subframe to chassis.
- Note different securing bolts for front mounting bracket / final drive.

- Sealing rings in driveshaft flanges must not be damaged when removing and installing.
- Replace driveshaft if damaged.
- Slide driveshaft in horizontal position onto final drive guide pin (2nd technician required).
- Slide rear driveshaft tube on guide pin horizontally.
- Install driveshaft at flange of Haldex clutch so that markings - arrows - align.
As of 06.99, balancing washers and new mounting bolts have been implemented for the driveshaft and flange of the Haldex clutch - arrows -.
The new mounting bolts have one socket head.
Two of the new mounting bolts can be installed with one balancing washer each.
Balancing washers must always be replaced with mounting washers - A -

NOTE:
- If droning noises are heard while driving, do the following:
- Unbolt driveshaft with flexible disc from flange of Haldex clutch and bolt on again offset by one hole.
- If droning noises are still heard, driveshaft must be bolted on again, offset by one more hole.
- Check gear oil in rear final drive.
