Checking resistance of knock sensors

Disconnect 2-pin harness connector to Knock Sensor (KS) 1 G61 ( - 1 - ) and/or 2-pin harness connector to Knock Sensor (KS) 2 G66 ( - 2 - ).

Measure resistance between contacts 1+2 at connections to knock sensors.

Specification ∞ Ω

If specification is not obtained:

Replace knock sensor(s).
Check DTC Memory, if necessary, repair any malfunctions and then Erase DTC Memory → DTC memory (functions 02 and 05), checking and erasing
Read readiness code → Readiness code, reading . If DTC memory has been erased, readiness code must be generated again:

Engine code AWW, → Readiness code for engine code AWW, generating

Engine code AWP, → Readiness code for engine code AWP, generating

If specification is obtained:

Check wiring.
