Engine speed signal, checking: Notes

The engine speed sensor signal cannot be used further in its direct form, therefore it is processed by the engine control unit for further consumers. The signal is required, by amongst other things, the automatic gearbox control unit to calculate gear changes and the rev counter in the dash panel.
