Installation notes

Observe safety precautions. Refer to Safety precautions  .

Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to Rules for cleanliness  .

NOTE:
  • All hose connections secured by clips.
  • The charge air system must be free of leaks.
  • Do not install hose connections with lubricant containing oil.
  • For assembly use lubricating agent (water without additive) if necessary. Do not use lubricating agents containing oil.
  • When repairing remove oil from connections and hose ends.
  • Before connecting oil supply line fill turbocharger at connection with engine oil.
  • After installing turbocharger run engine for approx. 1 minute at idling speed, do not rev engine. This ensures that the turbocharger is adequately lubricated.
  • Replace self-locking nuts.
