Radiator, removing and installing: Removing

- Drain coolant. Refer to Coolant, draining and filling .
- Disconnect coolant hoses from radiator.
- Disconnect connectors from thermal switch and coolant fan.
- Remove front bumper: Refer to 63 BUMPER .
- Bring lock carrier into service position: Refer to 50 BODY, FRONT .
- Remove radiator securing bolts and take radiator and fan out downward.
Vehicles with air conditioning
CAUTION:
The air conditioning system refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
NOTE:
- To prevent damage to condenser and to the refrigerant lines, ensure that the lines and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.
- Remove retaining clamp(s) from refrigerant lines.
- Unbolt condenser from radiator and secure to lock carrier.
