1 - 15 Nm

2 - Sealing flange

• With seal
• Must be located on dowel sleeves
• Removing and installing. Refer to Sealing flange - belt pulley end, removing and installing 
• Insert with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2   . Refer to Sealing flange - belt pulley end, removing and installing 

• Do not additionally oil or grease oil seal sealing lip
• Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using a clean cloth
• Replacing crankshaft oil seal - belt pulley end. Refer to Crankshaft oil seal - belt pulley end, replacing 

3 - Chain tensioner with tensioning rail, 15 Nm

• When installing, pretension spring

4 - Dipstick

• Oil level must not be above Max. mark!
• Marking

5 - Guide

• Pull off to extract oil

6 - Guide tube

7 - Oil spray jet

• For piston cooling

8 - 25 Nm

• Insert without sealant

9 - Dowel sleeves

10 - 15 Nm

11 - Suction line

• Clean strainer if soiled

12 - O-ring

• Replace

13 - Baffle plate

14 - 15 Nm

15 - 15 Nm

16 - Oil pan

• Clean sealing surface before installing
• Install with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2   . Refer to Oil pan, removing and installing 

17 - Seal

• Replace

18 - Oil drain plug, 30 Nm

• Replace plug with permanently attached seal

19 - Oil pump

• With pressure relief valve of 12 bar
• Before installing, check that both dowel sleeves are installed for centralizing oil pump/cylinder block
• Replace if running surfaces and gears are scored

20 - Chain sprocket for oil pump

21 - 25 Nm

22 - Chain
