Camshaft oil seal, removing and installing: Removing

Remove toothed belt. Refer to Toothed belts, removing, installing and tensioning .
Remove camshaft pulley and hub. Refer to Camshaft, removing and installing .
Unscrew inner part of oil seal extractor 3240 two turns (approx. 3 mm) out of outer part and lock with knurled screw.

Lubricate threaded head of oil seal extractor , place it in position and exerting firm pressure, screw it as far as possible into oil seal.
Loosen knurled screw and turn inner part against camshaft until oil seal is pulled out.
