Upper B-pillar trim, removing and installing (Vehicles with side curtain protection 04.01): Removing

• Remove lower B-pillar trim → Lower B-pillar trim, removing and installing  .
• Pry off cap - 1  -.
• Unscrew bolt - 2  - (40 Nm) and remove belt relay - 3  -.
• Loosen B-pillar trim - 4  - in lower area - arrow A  -.

• Pull B-pillar trim - 4  - downward - arrow B  -.

• Position standard needle-nose pliers at the side between B-pillar - 1  - and steel clip - 2  -.
• Disengage locking mechanism of steel clip - 2  - by forcefully pushing together using needle-nose pliers - arrows  -.
• Remove steel clip - 2  - from B-pillar - 1  -.

NOTE:

• It is not possible to remove steel clip - 2  - without destroying it, it must be replaced
