Right bonded rubber bushing, removing

- Unclip the right ABS-line at the rear axle.
- Disconnect brake line - arrow A - and remove clip - 1 -.
- Pull brake hose out from rear axle.
- Remove parking brake cable from brackets - arrow B - and - arrow C -.
- Place the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A under the right spring mount of the rear axle.
- Lift the right spring mount of the rear axle slightly with the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A so that the bolt - 2 - for the rear axle mounting bracket can be removed.
Vehicles with automatic headlight range control
- Remove coupling rod from Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76 from rear axle → Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76 on the rear axle for front wheel drive .
Continued for all vehicles
- Place the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A under the left spring mount of the rear axle.
- Using the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A lift the left spring mount upward far enough so that the bonded rubber bushing can be pulled out.
- Reinsert the mounting bracket bolt - 1 - into the rear axle and clamp a wood block with a thickness of a = approx. 80 mm between the bolt and the rear axle.
- Pull the bonded rubber bushing out of the rear axle using the Slide Hammer-Complete Set VW 771 - 2 - and the press piece 3416/2.
