Left bonded rubber bushing, removing

• Disconnect brake line - arrow A  - and remove clip - 1  -.
• Pull brake hose out from rear axle.
• Remove parking brake cable from brackets - arrow B  - and - arrow C  -.
• Place the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A under the left spring mount of the rear axle.

• Lift the left spring mount of the rear axle slightly with the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A so that the bolt - 2  - for the rear axle mounting bracket can be removed.

Vehicles with automatic headlight range control 

• Remove coupling rod from Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76 from rear axle → Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76 on the rear axle for front wheel drive  .

• Place the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A - 1  - under the right spring mount of the rear axle.
• Using the engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A lift the right spring mount upward far enough so that the bonded rubber bushing can be pulled out.
• Pull the bonded rubber bushing out of the rear axle using the Slide Hammer-Complete Set VW 771 - 2  - and the press piece 3416/2.
