Crankshaft Needle Bearings

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Drift VW 207C or centering mandrel 3176
Adapter T10055/3
Kukko extractor 14.5-18.5 mm 21/2
Puller T10055

NOTE:

For vehicles with a DSG transmission, the needle bearing must be installed in the crankshaft end on the flywheel side.

Removing

-- Pull out the needle bearing using the Kukko 21/2 -arrow-, T10055/3 and the T10055.

Installing

NOTE:

The side of the needle bearing with the writing on it must be readable when installed.

-- Drive in using the VW 207C or the 3176.
