Coolant Pump

Drip tray for VAS 6100 VAS 6208
Spring type clip pliers VAS 5024A

Removing

WARNING:

Hot steam may escape when opening the expansion tank cap. Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent damage to your eyes and from scalding. Cover the cap with a cloth and open the cap very carefully.

-- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the toothed belt, refer to one of the following:

-- Remove the coolant pump bolts -1- and remove the coolant pump -2-.

-- Remove the O-ring -3-.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

-- Replace the O-ring.

-- Clean or smooth the sealing surface for the O-ring.

-- Lubricate the new O-ring -3- with coolant.

-- Install the coolant pump -2-.

Installed position: Sealing plug in the housing points downward.

-- Tighten the coolant pump bolts -1 -.

-- Install the toothed belt, refer to one of the following:

-- Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING .
