Clutch Overview

NOTE:

Make sure the alignment bushings for centering the engine/transmission are installed inside the cylinder block. Install them if necessary.

If the alignment bushing are missing, it will be difficult to shift, there will be clutch problems and the transmission may make noises (loose rattling).

Dual Mass Flywheel
- Removing and installing, refer to [For engine(s) BPY] FLYWHEEL or [For engine(s) CCTA, CBFA] DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL .
- Make sure it fits securely on the centering pins.
- Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.
Clutch Disc
- Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH .
- Only replace together with the Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) pressure plate.
- Installed position, refer to Figure.
SAC Pressure Plate
- SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"
- Only replace together with the clutch disc.
- Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH .
- Check the ends of the diaphragm spring. Refer to Figure.
- Check the spring and rivet connections. refer to Figure.
Bolt
- M6 bolt - 13 Nm
- M7 bolt - 20 Nm
- Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
