Gear oil, checking

NOTE:

Gear oil is checked and filled in manual transmission and bevel gear transfer case together via the oil filler hole of transmission.

Transmission oil specification → Code letters, aggregate allocation, ratios, capacities

Remove plug for checking/filling transmission fluid - arrow -.

Oil level is correct when final drive is filled up to lower edge of plug hole.

Tighten plug - arrow - to specified torque.

When filling completely, note the following:

Remove plug - arrow -.
Top up transmission fluid to lower edge of oil filler hole.
Thread in plug - arrow -.
Start engine, select gear and let transmission turn approx. 2 minutes.

Shut off engine and remove plug - arrow -.
Top up transmission fluid again to lower edge of oil filler hole.
Tighten plug - arrow - to specified torque.
