General information
Jetta from model year 2005 are quipped with Anti-theft Immobilizer IV.
Changes from previous system:
- If immobilizer is active, it emits and audible signal and the immobilizer indicator lamp illuminates in the instrument cluster.
- It is no longer possible to adapt non-original Volkswagen components (aftermarket) that may be installed.
- Vehicle keys are pre-programmed with a basic coding by the manufacturer. This basic coding contains a specific manufacturer code. The adaptation of keys to a vehicle is only still possible when the correct manufacturer code is programmed.
