NOTE:

Remove cell caps.
Using hydrometer, extract as much battery electrolyte from one cell until floater floats freely.

Electrolyte density is determined by the immersion depth of floater in battery electrolyte. The value can be read at scale on floater.

NOTE:

Checking electrolyte density directly after adding distilled water will lead to incorrect measurement results. Check electrolyte density only after charging the battery.
