CAUTION:
  • Switch off all electrical consumers.
  • Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
NOTE:
  • Foil with warnings must remain on the battery.

Electrolyte density is determined by the immersion depth of floater in battery electrolyte. The value can be read at scale on floater.

Electrolyte density Charge condition Voltage
1.28 g/cm 3 100 % 12.7 V
1.21 g/cm 3 60 % 12.3 V
1.18 g/cm 3 40 % 12.1 V
1.10 g/cm 3 0 % 11.7 V
NOTE:
  • Checking electrolyte density directly after adding distilled water will lead to incorrect measurement results. Check electrolyte density only after charging the battery.
