1 - 120 Nm plus an additional  ¹  /  ₄  turn (90 ° ) 

• Always replace
• Use counter-holder 3099 when loosening or tightening
• Threads and shoulder must be free of oil and grease
• Additional rotation can occur in several stages

2 - 40 Nm plus an additional  ¹  /  ₄  turn (90 ° ) 

• Always replace

3 - 15 Nm 

4 - 22 Nm 

5 - Timing belt guard, lower section 

6 - 10 Nm 

7 - Timing belt middle guard 

8 - 45 Nm 

9 - Engine bracket 

10 - Timing belt guard, upper section 

11 - Timing belt 

• Mark direction of rotation before removing
• Check for wear
• Do not kink
• Removing, installing and tensioning. Refer to Toothed belt, removing, installing and tensioning 

12 - Idler roller 

• Always replace

13 - Securing bolts of injection pump sprocket 

• Note different versions and torque specifications

14 - 20 Nm 

15 - 20 Nm 

16 - 45 Nm 

17 - Camshaft sprocket 

• Use puller T40001 for removal

18 - Tensioning roller 

• Semi-automatic toothed belt tensioning roller, checking. Refer to Semi-automatic toothed belt tensioning roller, checking 

19 - Idler pulley 

20 - Injection pump sprocket 

• Two piece construction
• Note different versions (replacement part numbers)

21 - 30 Nm 

22 - Rear timing belt guard 

23 - Coolant pump 

• Check for easy movement.
• Replace when damaged or leaking.
• Removing and installing Refer to Coolant pump, removing and installing 

24 - Idler pulley 

• To remove, remove coolant pump
• Removing and installing: Refer to Coolant pump, removing and installing 

25 - Crankshaft timing belt sprocket 

26 - Bushing 

27 - Injection pump 

• Removing and installing: Refer to 23 DIESEL FUEL INJECTION for M.Y. 99-01, or 23 DIESEL FUEL INJECTION from M.Y. 2002 and on

28 - Assembly bracket 

• For diesel injection pump, generator, and power steering pump
• For vehicles without air conditioning system
• Assembly bracket for vehicles with air conditioning system, removing and installing: Refer to 87 - AIR CONDITIONING

29 - 45 Nm
