Vehicles with air conditioning, additional information and removal instructions

CAUTION:
Do NOT open the A/C refrigerant circuit.
NOTE:
- To prevent damage to the condenser and to the refrigerant lines/hoses, ensure that the lines and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.
To facilitate removal and installation of the engine without having to open refrigerant circuit:
- Remove retaining clamp(s) from refrigerant lines.
- Remove ribbed belt. Refer to Ribbed belt, removing and installing .
- Remove air conditioner compressor: Refer to 87 - AIR CONDITIONING
- Secure A/C compressor to tow hook - arrow - so that the refrigerant lines/hoses are not under a load.
NOTE:
- Protect bumper from damage using adhesive tape.
