Sealing flanges and flywheel/drive plate, removing and installing

NOTE:
- Servicing the clutch: Refer to 30 CLUTCH .
1 - Seal
- Do not additionally oil or grease oil seal sealing lip
- Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using a clean cloth.
- Replacing crankshaft oil seal - belt pulley end. Refer to Crankshaft oil seal - belt pulley end, replacing
2 - Sealing flange
- Must be located on dowel sleeves.
- Removing and installing. Refer to Sealing flange - belt pulley end, removing and installing
- Insert with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2 . Refer to Sealing flange - belt pulley end, removing and installing
3 - Cylinder block
- Removing and installing crankshaft. Refer to Crankshaft, removing and installing
- Disassembling and assembling pistons and connecting rods. Refer to Piston and connecting rod, disassembling and assembling
4 - Flywheel/drive plate
- To remove and install flywheel counterhold with 3067
- Removing and installing drive plate. Refer to Drive plate, removing and installing
5 - 60 Nm plus an additional 14 turn (90 ° )
- Replace
6 - Intermediate plate
- Must be located on dowel sleeves
- Do not damage/bend when assembling
7 - 15 Nm
8 - Sealing flange with oil seal
- Replace complete only
- Do not additionally oil or grease oil seal sealing lip
- Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using a clean cloth
- Use protective sleeve supplied when installing
- Remove protective sleeve first after sliding sealing flange onto crankshaft journal
