Friction torque, checking

Friction torque can only be checked if tapered roller bearings have been replaced.

If tapered roller bearings have not been replaced, friction torque must not be checked. Then, adjust drive pinion as described from, see DRIVE PINION, ADJUSTING .

A - Torque gauge, commercially available, 0 - 600 Ncm (0 - 50 in. lb)

B - Wrench socket (41 mm)
