Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, checking

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 27 other vehicles, including the 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio, 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, and 1999 Volkswagen Golf. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE: Displayed DTC information is not constantly updated but only when initiating OBD or with function 05 "Erase DTC memory".

Switch on printer with Print button (indicator lamp in button illuminates).

Press buttons -0- and -2-. (Function "check DTC memory" is selected with 02.)

Confirm entry with -Q- button.

Number of stored DTCs appears in display.

Stored DTCs are displayed and printed out one after the other.

Enter DTC table at DTC print out and correct. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLE .

If "No DTC" is displayed the program will return to the beginning after pressing --> button.
