Exhaust System, Installing

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

-- Loosen the nuts on the front clamp -1-.

-- Position the clamp -1- so that dimension -a- at the mark on the pipe -2- is 5 mm and then tighten the front nut hand tight. The -arrow- points in the direction of travel.

-- Push the exhaust system as far forward until dimension -a- on the outer retaining loop of the center muffler is between 9-11 mm. The -arrow- points in the direction of travel.

-- Tighten the front clamp in this position uniformly to 25 Nm.

Tail Pipe, Aligning 

-- Align the rear muffler so that the distance -a- between the bumper cutout and right and left tail pipes is equal.

At the same time, the distance -b- from the bumper cutout must be parallel to the tail pipes.

-- To align the tail pipes, loosen the rear muffler mounting components if necessary.
