NOTE:
  • 1. The oil level must not go above the MAX mark - danger of catalytic converter damage! Check the oil level. Refer to OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .
  • 2. If metal shavings or a large quantity of small metal particles are found when repairing an engine, this could indicate that the crankshaft or connecting rod bearings are damaged. to prevent further damage, perform the following steps after the repair.

-- Clean the oil passages.

-- Replace the oil spray jets.
