Sealing flange and flywheel/drive plate, removing and installing

NOTE:
- Clutch repairs: Refer to 30 CLUTCH for 5 SPD. MANUAL TRANSMISSION 02J or 30 - CLUTCH for 6 SPD. MANUAL TRANSMISSION 02Y ALL WHEEL DRIVE
- To perform the assembly work, the engine must be attached to the engine stand with engine bracket 3269.
1 - 100 Nm plus 1 / 4 turn (90 ° )
- Always replace
- Use counter hold 3406 for loosening and tightening, refer to Oil seal on vibration damper end of crankshaft, replacing under Oil seal on vibration damper end of crankshaft, replacing
- Tighten with torque wrench VAG 1601
2 - Vibration damper
3 - 10 Nm
4 - Oil Seal
- Always replace, refer to Oil seal on vibration damper end of crankshaft, replacing
5 - Sealing flange
- Coat sealing surface with AMV 188 001 02
6 - Cylinder block
- Removing and installing crankshaft, refer to Crankshaft, removing and installing
- Disassembling and assembling piston and connecting rod, refer to Pistons and connecting rods, disassembling and assembling
7 - Oil seal
- Coat sealing surfaces with AMV 188 001 02
8 - Oil seal
- Remove with extractor 2086
- Slightly coat sealing lip of oil seal with oil
- To install, position with mounting sleeve 2003/2 A
- Pull in to stop with 2003/3
9 - Flywheel/drive plate
- Removing and installing drive plate, refer to Drive plate, removing and installing
10 - 60 Nm plus 1 / 4 turn (90 ° )
- Always replace
11 - 25 Nm
