Differential and head bevel gear / input shaft, removing and installing: Notes

1 - Rear axle housing * See note

2 - Stud bolt, 10 Nm

3 - Oil drain plug, 25 Nm

• With magnet

4 - Oil filler plug, 25 Nm

• Filling quantity and specification → Code letters, allocation, ratios, capacities 
• Check gear oil in rear final drive → Gear oil in rear final drive, checking 

5 - Vent

6 - Bracket

• For harness connector/wiring harness
• Various versions
• Allocate via Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA)

7 - Hex bolt, 10 Nm

• Qty. 2

8 - O-ring

• Always replace
• Lubricate with transmission fluid before installing
• Replace with rear final drive installed

9 - Complete differential

• Remove with cover
• Disassembling and assembling → Differential for rear final drive 

10 - Hex bolt, 25 Nm

11 - Right flanged shaft

• Removing
• Drive in using plastic mallet

12 - Circlip

• Always replace

13 - Head bevel gear / input shaft * See note

• Head bevel gear is paired with shaft bevel gear
• Allocate according to transmission code via Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA) → Code letters, allocation, ratios, capacities 
• Servicing bearing for head bevel gear / input shaft → Bearing for head bevel gear / input shaft, servicing 

14 - O-ring

• Always replace
• Lubricate with transmission fluid before installing
• Replace with rear final drive installed → O-rings for cover / rear axle housing, replacing (final drive installed) 

15 - Cover * See note

• Removing
• Installing

16 - Hex bolt, 25 Nm

17 - Circlip

• Always replace
• Removing and installing: Pressing circlip out of flanged shaft groove with new circlip - A - 

18 - Left flanged shaft

• Removing
• Drive in using plastic mallet
