Test step 2

This checks function of Brake Light Switch - F -.

Set measuring range to 20 V.
Switch on ignition.

Measure between terminal 3 and terminal 2 (Ground -GND-) on disconnected connector.

Specified value: less than 0.5 V

Depress brake pedal.

Specified value: Battery voltage

If specified values are not obtained:

Repair wiring routing according to wiring diagram Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting Component Locations.

If specified values are still not obtained:

Replace Brake Light switch -F- → 46 BRAKES - MECHANICAL COMPONENTS
