Gear Selector Mechanism, Adjusting

Special tools and equipment

NOTE: The following points are essential to ensure correct selector adjustment:

Set selector shaft as follows:

Selector shaft is now locked and cannot be moved any more.

Set shift lever as follows:

Spring presses locking mechanism into normal position.

Functional check 

Should a gear fail to engage smoothly after repeated selection of 1st, 2nd, 5th or 6th gear, check the following:

Selector shaft must move downward (arrow -1-).
