Coolant, draining and filling: Draining

Remove cap from coolant expansion tank.

CAUTION: Hot steam may escape when the expansion tank is opened. Place a cloth over the cap and open with caution.

Remove sound insulation: Refer to 50 BODY, FRONT .

Vehicles with a radiator drain plug

Remove radiator drain plug to drain coolant - arrow -.

Vehicles without a radiator drain plug

Pull off bottom coolant hose retaining clip - arrow - and remove coolant hose from radiator quick release coupling to drain coolant.

To drain coolant from engine also remove coolant hose at oil cooler - arrow -.
