- Removing and installing sealing flange and flywheel. Refer to Sealing flanges and flywheel/drive plate, removing and installing
- Removing and installing crankshaft. Refer to Crankshaft, removing and installing
- Disassembling and assembling pistons and connecting rods. Refer to Piston and connecting rod, disassembling and assembling
4 - 10 Nm
5 - Bracket
- For vacuum reservoir
6 - Vacuum reservoir
7 - 15 Nm
8 - Seal
- Replace
9 - Oil filter bracket
- Disassembling and assembling
10 - 15 Nm plus an additional 14 turn (90 ° )
- Replace
- First install upper left and lower right bolts, then tighten four bolts diagonally and alternately
11 - Engine speed (RPM) sensor -G28-
12 - Union
- For thermostat
13 - 15 Nm
14 - O-ring
- Replace
15 - Thermostat

- Observe installed position. Refer to Thermostat, removing and installing
- Checking: heat-up thermostat in water
- Opening begins: approx. 85 ° C
- Opening ends: approx. 105 ° C
- Opening lift: min. 7 mm

17 - Compact bracket
- For Generator, power steering pump and air conditioning compressor
18 - Oil sump
- Clean sealing surface before installing
- Insert with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2 . Refer to Oil pan, removing and installing
19 - 15 Nm
