Engine oil specifications: Vehicles without Long Life Service 

Only use engine oil in compliance with VW standard 505 00 or 505 01.

Engine oil specifications: Vehicles 05.99 → with Long Life Service 

Only use engine oil in compliance with VW standard 506 00.

NOTE:
  • Engine oil conforming to VW standard 505 00 or 505 01 may continue to be used. The oil must be changed every 12 months or every 15,000 km and the service interval display must be programmed accordingly.
