Place a load on toothed belt with strong thumb pressure. Notch and protrusion - arrow - must be shifted.
Release load on toothed belt again. The tensioning roller must return to its initial position. (Notch and protrusion are aligned again.)

NOTE:

After releasing tension, the tensioning roller does not return to its initial position.
