Disassembly and assembly sequence
* Adjustment work is necessary when replacing these parts → Adjustment overview (bevel gear transfer case)
1 - Conical head bolt, 25 Nm
- Right flanged shaft to threaded piece/differential
- Length of conical head bolt is matched to bevel gear transfer case
- Check part number of bevel gear transfer case
- When replacing bevel gear transfer case, allocate conical head bolt via Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA)
2 - Right flanged shaft
- Removing
- Pressing in
- Removing and installing with transmission installed → Right flanged shaft seal, replacing
3 - Needle bearing (polygon bearing)
- Qty. 2
- Replace → Needle bearing, replacing
4 - Circlip
- Always replace
5 - Seal
- Remove using lever
- Drive in to stop using thrust piece T10049 .
- Replacing with transmission installed → Right flanged shaft seal, replacing
6 - Double bolt, 45 Nm
- M10/M 8
7 - Washer
8 - Bolt, 25 Nm
- M8
9 - Bolt, 45 Nm
- M10
10 - Oil drain plug, 60 Nm
- With magnet and seal
11 - Cover, large * See note
- Removing
- Do not cant when installing, tighten securing bolts in stages and in diagonal sequence
12 - O-ring
- If installed, always replace

- Pressing off

- Cannot be pressed off input shaft
- Adjusting → Head bevel gear, adjusting
17 - Final drive housing * See note
- Drain oil, then clamp bevel gear transfer case in assembly stand using transmission holder T10108
18 - Sleeve for oil supply
- Pulling out
- Pressing in
19 - O-ring
- Always replace
20 - Small tapered roller bearing for bearing/head bevel gear * See note
Inner race:
- Sits loosely on input shaft
- Removing

Outer race:
- Sits loosely in final drive housing
- Removing

21 - Bolt, 25 Nm

- Must make contact in surrounding groove

- Before assembling, coat both sides with sealant AMV 188 200
