Operating cables, assembly overview: Notes

NOTE:
- Lubricate bearing areas and slide surfaces with grease G 000 450 02.
1 - Shift lever cable
- Installed position → Installed position of components at transmission
2 - Selector cable
- Installed position → Installed position of components at transmission
3 - Locking washer
- Always replace
4 - Locking washer
- When removing, do not damage cables
- Always replace
5 - Shift mechanism housing
6 - Hex bolt, 25 Nm
- For mounting bracket
7 - Mounting bracket
8 - Grommet
- For mounting bracket to transmission
9 - Spacer piece
10 - Cable locking mechanism
- For selector cable on actuator lever
- With continuous hole, as of 01.01
- Not necessary to replace
- Secured by a locking washer
- Allocation: Allocation of cable locking mechanisms
11 - Actuator lever
- Installed position: Installation position of transmission shift lever/actuator lever
- Adjust shift mechanism after installing → Shift mechanism, adjusting in transmissions with lock bolts (up to transmission manufacture date 180503)
12 - Bushing
13 - Locking washer
14 - Shoe
15 - Transmission shift lever
- With balance weight
- Insert so that master spline aligns with selector shaft
- Adjust shift mechanism after installing → Shift mechanism, adjusting in transmissions with lock bolts (up to transmission manufacture date 180503)
- Installed position: Installation position of transmission shift lever/actuator lever
16 - Self-locking hex nut, 20 Nm
- Always replace
17 - Cable locking mechanism
- For shift cable on transmission shift lever
- With continuous hole, as of 01.01
- Not necessary to replace
- Secured by a locking washer
- Allocation: Allocation of cable locking mechanisms
