- Shift lever must rest in 3rd/4th shift gate when transmission is in neutral.
- Operate clutch
- Shift through all gears several times. Pay particular attention to function of reverse gear lock.
Should a gear fail to engage smoothly after repeated selection, the adjustment must be checked:
Secure shift lever as follows:
- Select neutral on shift lever.
- Guide pin T10027 through hole - A - into hole - B -.
- Selector shaft must have moved downward in direction of - arrow 1 -.
- With a correctly adjusted shift mechanism, lock pin - A - can now be slid into transmission until it engages in direction of - arrow 3 - and direction of - arrow 2 -
Selector shaft is then secured.
- If this is not possible, adjust shift mechanism → Shift mechanism, adjusting in transmissions with lock elbow (as of transmission manufacture date 190503) .
