Steering column tube for height-adjustable steering wheel, removing and installing

- Square housing fits over mounting bracket
Bolt with left-hand thread
- Tighten to 22 N.m (16 ft lb) with lever on upper stop
- After tightening install lock plate
Clamping sleeve

- Always replace
- 8 N.m (71 in lb)
Shear bolt
- Tighten until head shears off
Washer
Mounting bracket
- Coat sliding surfaces with MoS₂ grease before assembling
Thrust washer
