- When installing engine/transmission assembly, ensure sufficient clearance to engine and transmission mountings and radiator.
- Align engine and transmission mountings → Aligning engine and transmission mountings .
NOTE:
- Torque settings for assembly mountings → Assembly mounting .
- Install compact bracket and alternator: → 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL
- Install front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter → Exhaust system components, servicing , Removing and installing parts of the exhaust system.
- Install pendulum support: → 40 FRONT SUSPENSION
- Install drive shafts: → 40 FRONT SUSPENSION
- Install power steering pump: → 48 STEERING
- Install intake manifold → Cylinder head cover, removing and installing , Removing and installing cylinder head cover.
- Install air cleaner with intake hose: → 24 MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION (MFI)
- Install battery and battery retainer.
- Install ribbed belt → Ribbed belt, removing and installing under Ribbed belt, removing and installing .
- Check electrical connections and routing: → 97 WIRING
- Install center, left and right insulation trays: → 50 BODY, FRONT
- Top up coolant level → Cooling system, draining and filling .
- Perform test drive and check DTC memory: → 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
- Adapt (match) engine control module to throttle valve control module: → 24 MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION (MFI)
- Perform work sequence "Procedure after interrupting voltage supply" : → 24 MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION (MFI)
- Read readiness code: → 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
- If DTC memory has been erased or engine control module separated from permanent positive supply, generate readiness code again: → 01 ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD)
