Cover, assembly overview: Notes

1 - Wiring router

For coolant hoses and wiring harness
Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to Coolant hose connection diagram

2 - 8 Nm

3 - Camshaft position (CMP) sensor 2 G163

For exhaust camshaft
Before disconnecting, mark allocation of connector to component

4 - Chain tensioner, 40 Nm

Only rotate engine with chain tensioner installed

5 - Oil seal

Replace if damaged or leaking

6 - Bracket

For wiring harness and ground connection

7 - Bracket

For after-run coolant pump V51

8 - After-run coolant pump V51

Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to Coolant hose connection diagram
Checking, refer to After-run coolant pump, checking

9 - Oil seal

Replace if damaged or leaking

10 - 23 Nm

11 - Bracket

For wiring harness

12 - Coolant thermostat housing

Disassembling and assembling, refer to Coolant thermostat housing, assembly overview
Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to Coolant hose connection diagram

13 - Oil seal

Replace

14 - Cover

Coat sealing surfaces with sealing compound "AMV 176 501"
Prepare cylinder head gasket for installation Preparing cylinder head gasket for installation , under Preparing cylinder head gasket for installation

15 - Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor G40

For intake camshaft
Before disconnecting, mark allocation of connector to component

16 - O-ring

For oil channel seal
Replace
Oil before assembling
