Radiator, removing and installing: Removing

Drain coolant. Refer to Coolant, draining and filling .
Disconnect coolant hoses from radiator.
Disconnect connectors from thermal switch and coolant fan.
Remove front bumper: Refer to 63 BUMPER .
Bring lock carrier into service position: Refer to 50 BODY, FRONT .
Remove radiator securing bolts and take radiator and fan out downward.

Vehicles with air conditioning

CAUTION: The air conditioning system refrigerant circuit must not be opened.

NOTE:

To prevent damage to condenser and to the refrigerant lines, ensure that the lines and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.

Remove retaining clamp(s) from refrigerant lines.
Unbolt condenser from radiator and secure to lock carrier.
