Road test procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, 1999 Volkswagen GTI, 1998 Volkswagen Jetta, 1998 Volkswagen GTI, and 1997 Volkswagen Jetta. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Avoid deceleration fuel cut-off during this diagnostic test. It causes the three way catalytic converter to store oxygen, diagnostic test will then be blocked for at least 10 seconds.
