ATF pump, disassembling and assembling: Notes

- - Piston ring
- Check that ring is correctly located. See Checking that piston rings are correctly located .

- Sealing lips are vulcanized to piston
- Moisten sealing lips with ATF before installing
- Turn piston slightly while installing

- Tightening torque: 10 N.m (7 ft lb) plus additional 1/8-turn (45 °)

- Manufacturer's marking faces stator support
- If outer gear is incorrectly installed, ATF pump may not operate freely in the installed position
- - Inner gear
- Larger groove faces stator support
- - Housing for ATF pump
- - O-ring
- Always replace
