Adjust valve timing as follows:

- Loosen camshaft sprocket bolt one-half turn. Detach camshaft sprocket from tapered end of camshaft by tapping with hammer (using drift through hole in rear belt guard).
- Lock injection pump sprocket into position using pin 2064.
- Check TDC (Cyl. 1) and, if necessary, rotate crankshaft unit TDC mark on flywheel is aligned with reference mark on clutch housing (see Figure ).
- Install drive belt and remove locking pin from injection pump sprocket.
NOTE:
It may be necessary to remove the camshaft drive belt in order to set the injection pump sprocket in position and align the TDC marking on the flywheel.
Remove pin 2064.
- Adjust drive belt tension. See Installing under Diesel injection pump, removing and installing.
- Tighten camshaft sprocket bolt to 45 Nm (33 ft lb).
- Remove setting bar 2065A.
- Check injection pump static timing, see DIESEL INJECTION PUMP STATIC TIMING, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .
