Functional check

- Connect VAG 1551/1552 Scan Tool.
- Start engine and let idle.
- Press -0- and -1- buttons to select Address word 01 "Engine electronics".
Display will appear as shown:
- Press -0- and -4- buttons to select Function 04 "Basic setting".
- Press -Q- button to enter input.
Display will appear as shown:
- Press -1-, -5- and -0- buttons to select "Display group 150".
- Press -Q- button to enter input.
Indicated on display (1-4 = Display fields):
- System in Basic Setting 150
- 1 2 3 4
Run engine at idle speed (800-880 RPM) and check specifications after 60 seconds.

If specifications not obtained:
- Perform Output Diagnostic Test Mode using scan tool and activate the EVAP canister purge regulator valve N80: See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) - 2.8L VR6, AAA .
- Display Readiness Code: See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) - 2.8L VR6, AAA .
If specifications obtained:
- Press -> button
Display will appear as shown:
- Press -0- and -6- buttons to select Function 06 "End transfer".
- Press -Q- button to enter input.
- Turn off ignition.
