Radiator and Coolant Fan, removing and installing: Removing

Drain coolant. See COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .
Disconnect coolant hoses from radiator.
Disconnect connectors from Coolant Fan Control (FC) Thermal Switch -F18 - and Coolant Fan -V7-.
Remove front bumper:
See FRONT BUMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Remove headlights:
See HEADLIGHTS (GOLF, JETTA & CABRIO TO 10.98), SERVICING .
Remove radiator mounting bolts and remove radiator toward the front.
Remove V-belt from Coolant Fan and auxiliary fan pulleys.
Remove Coolant Fan and auxiliary fan from lock carrier.
