Maximum permissible reconditioning dimension, calculating: Notes

Insert valve and press firmly against seat.

NOTE: If the valve is to be replaced as part of a repair, use a new valve for the measurement and calculation.

Measure distance between end of valve stem and top edge of cylinder head -arrow-.
Calculate max. permissible reconditioning dimension using measured distance and minimum dimension specification.

Minimum dimensions:

Intake valve: 33.9 mm (1.335 in.)
Exhaust valve: 34.1 mm (1.343 in.)

Measured distance minus minimum dimension = max. permissible reconditioning dimension.
